BEDFORD Corn Exchange becomes a house of fun on February 17 with a Ska Madness concert featuring tribute act Ultimate Madness.

The band will be taking audiences one step beyond with all the hits of Madness including such classics as Baggy Trousers and Our House and also throwing in a couple of extra ska classics from the likes of The Specials and Bad Manners.

Formed in 2002, Ultimate Madness have been touring extensively throughout the UK, Germany and Holland since then. In 2004, the group met the original Madness and were given the thumbs up by Suggs and co.

They pay a loving and energetic tribute to original Madness who formed in the summer of 1979. Although they only topped the singles chart once, with House of Fun in 1982, they were one of the most popular and loved bands of the 1980s and enjoyed a host of top 20 hit singles.

They announced they were splitting in 1986, but have since reformed in various guises, most recently contributing two new songs in 2002 to the musical Our House.

Support at Ska Madness comes from Jam tribute act Sounds of The Jam.

Doors open at 8pm. Tickets cost £12 and £10 and are available from the central box office on 01234 269519.
