THE musical thriller Sweeney Todd is coming to Milton Keynes Theatre as part of its national tour.
By Stephen Sondheim, Sweeney Todd stars Jason Donovan and tells the story of the demon barber of Fleet Street who forms an enterprising business relationship with Mrs Lovett, the proprietress of the downstairs pie shop.
Jason Donovan plays the infamous Sweeney Todd alongside Harriet Thorpe (The Brittas Empire, Absolutely Fabulous) as Mrs Lovett.
The musical is set in darkest Victorian London and has won eight Tony and Grammy Awards.
It provides a mix of comedy, murderous passion and young love and has come straight from a sell-out stint on Broadway.
The production will be in Milton Keynes from February 6 until 11 for one week only.
