FILMMAKER Carl Denham (Jack Black) heads off to Skull Island to shoot the remainder of his latest movie with struggling actress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) and playwright Jack Driscoll (Adrian Brody).
There they encounter King Kong who is completely smitten by Ann. The gorilla is caught and shipped back to New York where he is put on display in front of humans.
The film feels like it was forced to fit into three hours. Only the DVD extras make it worthwhile. 3/5
