TO celebrate the 60th birthday of Stevenage new town, there will be a number events taking place:
# The Gordon Craig will be showing Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush - a film in which most of the scenes were shot in Stevenage in 1967, starring Judy Geeson and Barry Evans - on October 26 at 7.45pm.
# A 60th anniversary exhibition will be on display at the Boxfield Gallery from October 20 to November 26.
# The English Sinfonia will be playing music composed by Elizabeth Poston, Mozart and Beethoven at the Gordon Craig on November 1 at 7.45pm.
# The 60th anniversary finale will be at Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre's sports hall on November 26 from 4pm to 6.30pm, when a thanksgiving will also take place.
