As single In The Morning signifies, Borrell has ditched the peppy lyrics and fizzing guitar of their stellar debut for underwhelming contemplations and music built for slowly swaying stadia.
The reworked, slower version of Kirby's House, a charity-only track from last year, is nice but didn't need meddling with.
Who Needs Love? is a creative nadir, others are best forgotten, but there remains a zest to some tracks, notably in surefire single America and rousing album closer Los Angeles Waltz.
It'll still outsell everything else, regardless. 3/5
