Since Radio 4's inception in 2000, they have graduated from bored New York punks to club crossover successes, with second album Gotham! mixing jerky guitars and danceable bass riffs to form the crest of a new wave alongside The Rapture and others.

Enemies Like This sees the band try and reclaim space on the vanguard after their disappointing 2004 follow-up, and the title track at least threatens to make a splash on club dancefloors once more.

But as a whole the album leaves a stale, inspirationless taste in the mouth, the victim not so much of a constantly shifting cutting edge, but of an idea diluted too sparingly. 2/5
