A family road trip goes oh so terribly wrong when the Carters end up in a government atomic zone and quickly realise they are on the menu for a family of mutants.
A rather loose remake of Wes Craven's horror genre calling card, The Hills Have Eyes is one of only a handful of horror remakes that isn't all that bad.
Decent acting combined with well-handled suspense make you forget all about the horror clichés that the director couldn't find himself to quite omit. 3/5
