The Spinto Band are literally just out of school in their native Delaware, US home, but on listening to the multi-layered musical magic on this accomplished album, the sextet can't have spent long in the classroom.
For here are 10 tracks of fresh-faced, intuitively constructed, swirling indie-pop that deserves to lift spirits everywhere.
Almost every track is a chart-friendly, slightly left-field nugget of greatness.
The whistle-laced, lolloping Direct To Helmet is a highlight which sits comfortably next to alt-indie's greats Grandaddy and The Flaming Lips in tone, but with fewer bloops and blips.
A blast of oddly-scented fresh air in the stifling drollness of US indie. 5/5
