WHO cares about education? We all do. Don't we?
A powerful new play, Dumbing Down, spotlights schools in the grip of the National Curriculum - assailed by tests and targets, beset by league tables and inspections.
First hand experiences and news reports have been distilled into a comedy/drama about a young teacher at the start of his career.
This hard-hitting, topical satire includes rapping, Shakespeare, gender-swapping and an opportunity for the audience to throw rubbish at the actors!
Dumbing Down is playing at The Queen Mother Theatre, Hitchin, on Saturday, June 24, at 7.45pm. Tickets are priced £8 (concessions £7).
