TIGHTLY squeezed into David's Music in Letchworth GC, about a hundred or so music fans were treated to a live performance by Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly on Thursday.
Backed by two musicians from the garden city, this Bohemian 20-year-old from Southend found just enough space in one corner of the shop to squeeze into and get started.
Gigs in shops such as this are always intimate occasions; you can see the sweat dripping down the singer's face and have those screaming vocals rip apart your eardrums.
And although he forgot the words to one song - we can forgive him for that - singer Sam Duckworth was spot on with the rest of his show.
With renditions of The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager (Part One), I-Spy and the wonderfully melancholic War of the Worlds, the set was a runaway success and had the audience begging for more.
A mixture of students taking the afternoon off college and workers taking extended lunch breaks, the audience were certainly happy to see a very fine musician playing in the heart of Letchworth GC.
