THE Junior Bancroft Players are performing Cindy at Hitchin's Queen Mother Theatre.
This is a modern-day musical version of Cinderella.
With her school under threat of closure, the downtrodden Cindy yearns to be a singer, without hope of ever achieving her dream.
Yet fate has a surprise in store for her - and an ending to set us all thinking.
Jon Brown, a co-leader of the Junior Bancroft Players, said: "This is set to be a very special, fun production with wonderful music and a strong message at its centre. We have a talented and dedicated group of children."
Performances will run from March 29 to March 31 at 7.30pm.
Tickets, at £7 or £5 for concessions, can be purchased by calling the box office on 01462 455166.
