THE spring play season at The Gordon Craig Theatre is set to end in suspense with psychological thriller Signpost to Murder.

After being sentenced to 10 years in a mental institution for murdering his wife, a man discovers an archaic law - if he can escape and stay out of hospital for 28 days, he will be granted a new trial.

After escaping, he finds sanctuary in the home of a woman whose husband is out of town. But all is not as it seems. Is it the man's madness that leads him to discover a corpse in the bathroom? A corpse that disappears before he can do anything about it.

Starring Peter Amory - better known as Chris Tate in Emmerdale - and Tony O'Callaghan - Sgt Matthew Boyden in The Bill - the play will be performed at 7.45pm from March 1 to March 3.

There will be matinee performances at 2.30pm on March 1 and March 3.

Tickets are priced between £11.50 and £16.50.
