The Essex-born author has built up a huge fan base for her gritty, graphic, stories. Cole's world never fails to immerse the reader due to the author's research, complicated characters and plot twisting.
The Jump, one of Cole's earlier books, is a classic and was even translated onto the small screen. The book focuses on Donna Bruno whose husband Giorgio is sentenced to jail for 18 years for armed robbery. Donna sets about trying to prove his innocence, but actually uncovers dark truths about her husband's other life.
