FIELDS have supported Snow Patrol, The Automatic and Bloc Party.

They also supported The Long Blondes as part of London's series of NME Brat shows.

And late last year they took part in MTV 2's Spanking New Music Tour along with Wolfmother, iForward, The Maccabees and Russia!

Acts who have played at the tour in the past include Kasabian, The Kooks, Editors and Bloc Party.

Fields have had reviews in NME, Q and Uncut. Slots include Radio 1 plays with Zane Lowe and Robe Da Bank, Playlist XFM, Steve Lamacq's Roundtable and appearances on Qtv 50 Hottest, Video on rotation E4 music and The Sun online.

And now the band are coming to town.

It will be a really good Friday on April 6 as they appear at David's Music Shop in Letchworth at 4pm.

The group will be playing songs from their eagerly anticipated debut album that is out on April 2 called Everything Last Winter.

Nick Peill, Thorunn Antonia, Henry Spenner, Matty Derham and Jamie Putnam, from Brimingham, Reykjavik in Iceland and London are signed to Atlantic Records and their MySpace site describes their sound as "psychedelic rock crunk".

They have a new single out, Charming The Flames, which will be released on a brand new digital vinyl format that has been banned from the charts by the OCC.

The B-side will be etched and its label will contain a unique code which will be redeemable at the band's website only, www.fieldsband.com, for a choice of non-album track B-sides including Cold Hearted Machinery and When You Sleep.

Andy Oaten, manager of David's Music Shop, said: "Fields are the second major label act to appear at David's in the last month, the first being Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly in March.

"With their fantastic debut album being released the same week we are expecting another big crowd, particularly being on Good Friday and at 4pm.

"We have plenty of limited edition copies of the CD and 7" single which the band will happily sign after the show.

"And having local band Weightloss playing and promoting their new CD the following week, Saturday, April 14, at 5pm, we, at David's Music, are having an excellent run of live music at the moment.

"And with these all being free events it's great news for the music loving local community."
