This self-produced debut sounds like it has sprung from the dusty plains outside of Albuquerque rather than the smoky boozers of East London, but Anglo-Swede songwriting partners Terry Wolfers and Petter Ericson Stakee couldn't have less American roots if they tried.

This collection of haunting, broken-hearted country-folk tunes have strong gospel and blues-rock themes - think Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Van Morrison - but the feel is fresh and songs are given space to breathe.

The album is a sparkling, original collection of upliftingly doleful tracks.
