AN exciting exhibition of drawings, models and sculptures that started with a challenge for Leisure Direct members to turn scrap metal parts into works of art comes to Letchworth Arts Centre from Monday, February 18 to 29.
Leisure Direct is a charity affiliated with Royal Mencap that provides sport and leisure activities for people over the age of 18 with learning difficulties and/or mental health issues in North Hertfordshire and Stevenage.
The challenge was launched in November. Those taking part were assisted by local artist, Suzy Drake, who regularly takes art classes for Leisure Direct members.
The exhibition, at Letchworth Arts Centre in The Arcade in Letchworth GC, will be open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 5pm, and Saturday, from 10am to 3pm.
