CURRENTLY on display at Letchworth Arts Centre is an installation that explores the issues of climate change.

The main gallery has been transformed into three areas - a white tranquil room where you can sit and reflect on what you believe and how those beliefs affect the way you act.

The Forest of Forgotten Knowledge is made from hangings of old university notes from a physics degree the artist, Carolyn Devereux, did 25 years ago.

There is also an area of installations that reflect issues of climate change and the destruction of the planet, such as the melting ice cap, the death of wildlife, deforestation, and our growing dependence on oil and technology.

Artist Carolyn Devereux said: "Climate change is one of the most important issues for our future yet many people still do not really believe that it will happen. I want people to think again about their belief in global warming and what they personally are doing about it."

The exhibition runs until February 1 and the gallery is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
