Westley hoping to develop Harrison

GRAHAM WESTLEY believes striker Byron Harrison has the potential to be a future hit for the club.
The 23-year-old, who was signed by Boro on New Year’s Day from non-league side Carshalton Athletic where he scored 12 goals in 30 appearances, was introduced as a late substitute against Morecambe on Saturday in what was only the striker’s second outing since making his debut on January 1 against Gillingham.
However, Westley has been impressed with Harrison’s attitude and eagerness to learn in training and hopes are high he will develop him into a first-team regular at the Lamex Stadium over the coming months.
“He’s come in and made a debut on the day he signed and hasn’t had any game time since,” said Westley.
“He’s worked really hard on the training ground and he’s listening a lot, he’s learning a lot and he’s improving every day. He’s been terrific to work with and I thought he was fabulous for the 10 or 12 minutes when he came on and he is really adding some aggression to his game and he’s going to be a right handful when we develop him there’s no doubt about that.”
