Boro boss says striker is staying put

GRAHAM WESTLEY insists Charlie Griffin is going nowhere after reports earlier this week suggested Bath City are interested in signing the Boro front man.

Bath manager Adie Britton declared his interest in Griffin by saying:

“I’d have Charlie Griffin in my squad. He is on our radar but it is very much down to Stevenage whether he is available. He’s played their last two league games so I’m not sure that he is.”

However, Westley has made it clear he is not willing to let Griffin go as he sees him as an integral part of the squad.

Westley said: “Charlie started in the game against Barnet, in our last league game, and he was excellent that day. He’s central to my plans and no, I’ve no intention of letting him go.”
