Ben Kennedy could make a return to the Stevenage first team as soon as March.
It was feared that the 19-year-old could miss the rest of the season after he picked up a knee injury earlier in the month that required surgery.
However, after recent keyhole surgery it is thought that Kennedy’s lay-off may be around 10 weeks – putting him in line for a return towards the end of March.
Chris Whelpdale, the Boro winger, missed the 0-0 draw with Barnet on Saturday with a groin injury, and is a doubt for this coming weekend’s trip to York City.
