Former Shrewsbury Town midfielder joins on a permanent deal

Stevenage have signed David McAllister on a permanent deal.

The midfielder made 14 appearances for the club during a successful loan spell earlier this season before he returned to his parent club Shrewsbury Town earlier this month.

He reached an agreement with Shrewsbury on the remainder of his contract last week and left the club, and has now joined Stevenage.

Boro boss Graham Westley said at the weekend that in order to make a signing the club must move another player out, but it seems the club has seen the importance of McAllister’s role in their recent improvement in form and have now done the deal.

Boro travel to Shrewsbury Town this weekend in Sky Bet League 2.
