Rowan Liburd's header earned Stevenage a draw against Southend United reserves today (Tuesday).

In a match which saw starts for the likes of Jobi McAnuff and Dean Wells for Boro, the visitors took the lead with a penalty on 21 minutes.

Three minutes before half-time Liburd headed home after McAnuff’s corner was flicked on by Wells.

Wells and a trialist centre-half both went close with second-half headers while a late save from Chris Day helped Boro hang on for a draw.

Stevenage: Day, Kerr, Wells, trialist (O’Keefe 77), Fox, Guerfi (Brady 35), Tonge (Dowridge 72), McAnuff, Pett (Wilmot 88), McKee (Cregan 46), Liburd.
