Forest Green Rovers forward joins on month-long loan deal to bolster Stevenage frontline

Following Keith Keane's loan return to Stevenage yesterday (Thursday), Teddy Sheringham has further strengthened his ailing squad today with the one-month loan signing of Forest Green Rovers forward Aaron O'Connor.
Should the 32-year-old, formerly of Newport County and Luton Town, find his scoring boots at the Lamex Stadium, Stevenage have the option to extend the loan until the end of the season.
O’Connor was top scorer for County in two of the past three seasons before making a summer move to Gloucestershire. He has scored nine goals for Rovers this campaign.
During last season’s League Two clash between the South Wales side and Stevenage, O’Connor scored before seeing red following a rash challenge on Ronnie Henry in second half injury-time.
He should go straight into Stevenage’s squad for tomorrow’s (Saturday) long trip to league leaders Plymouth Argyle. Boro are winless in their last five league matches.
