AFTER taking a two goal lead in their BGB Southern League Premier Division clash at home to Tiverton Town, Hitchin were sunk by a cruel last minute blow on Saturday. The Canaries went ahead when Josh Sozzo's shot was deflected in and extended their lead through a Mrk Duckett free kick just before half-time. Tiverton pulled one back shortly after the break and levelled on the hour before nicking the points when Ryan Frater deflected a shot past his own keeper.

Two goals from Adam Furness and strikes from Ian Thorn and Joe Philbin saw Stotfold end a six match losing streak with a 4-3 win at Long Buckby in the Eagle Bitter United Counties Premier League. Potton United were held to a goalless draw at basement side Ford Sports.

Two goals in three first half minutes from McKenzie and Foster were enough to give Arlesey Town a 2-1 win at AFC Sudbury in Ryman League Division One North.
