Stotfold picked up three vital points at fellow strugglers Yaxley.

The Rokermen won 2-0 after the benefit of an early goal.

They had already gone close as Adam Furness cut the ball back for Ian Thorne whose shot was tipped wide by keeper Lea Jordan.

Soon after, Ryan Nichol's corner saw Ricky Geraghty head home.

It became two when a sloppy back pass from Jimmy Dean allowed Connor Delacy to nip in. The keeper tripped Delacy and Furness made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Stotfold keeper Tony Harvey made a good block from Mark Paul's shot, while another Paul cross-shot was well cut out by the keeper.

After the break, Thorne's shot was blocked by the keeper and the rebound put over the bar by Furness.

Then a Furness free-kick was parried wide by the busy Yaxley keeper. A Paul cross from the right to Ian Edge saw his sidefoot shot well parried wide from close range by Harvey.

Yaxley suffered further disappointment as Ricky Hailstone took a short free-kick to Lee Lewett but the ball was nicked off his foot by Harvey.

The last chance of the game fell to Stotfold as a cross from Furness on the right went to sub Lee Downham at the far post. His shot was well blocked and Thorne was beaten to the rebound.

Rokermen: Harvey, Taylor, Purton, Mitchell, Geraghty, Drury, Nichol, Delacy, Furness, Thorne (Hull 85m), Philbin (Downham 72m).

Langford were denied maximum points by a late Tring Athletic equaliser. Lee Pateman's 10th goal of the season gave the Reds the lead on the stroke of half time.

But Matt Wort grabbed a leveller in added time as hosts Tring twice hit the woodwork late on as well.

John Coley was also shown red in his comeback game following suspension.

Arlesey Athletic went down 3-1 at home to Hoddesdon to stay among the strugglers in the SML Division One.

Mark Phillips scored an equaliser on 62 minutes but Hoddesdon netted twice in four minutes to take all the points.
