There is a break from recent tradition at Letchworth Cricket Club's Benefit Day this year.
Their normal associated county, Warwickshire, do not have a beneficiary this year.
So Letchworth have moved just down the road in the West Midlands.
The Whitethorn Lane club will entertain Worcestershire captain and England one-day star Vikram Solanki and his county colleagues on Friday, September 14, for the usual seven-a-side pro-am tournament.
The tournament and the day are becoming ever more popular and there is now usually a waiting list to enter a team in the competition.
Each team of seven players includes one county professional and they play in a knockout competition for The Comet Trophy.
Anyone interested in entering or sponsoring a team, or taking advantage of any of the other sponsorship and marketing opportunities available, should call Mark Bianchi on 01462 433164 or 07778 708648.
