A basketball team from Stevenage is celebrating a famous tournament win.

The Stevenage Vipers have won the third Filcom basketball tournament in Cambridgeshire.

Their team consists purely of Filipino basketball fanatics who have lived in the town for a number of years.

Vipers have previously taken part in other basketball leagues around the London area and gained three runners-up trophies in 2004.

In 2005, Vipers were eliminated late on during the Cambridge tournament but there was no mistake this year.

The tournament started back in April and there were eight teams from all over Herts, Beds and Cambs. The majority of the players were from Cambridgeshire.
