The Royals avenged a defeat earlier in the season despite the visitors taking the lead after 18 minutes.
The scorer was Ian Dunn, who also hit the bar before he was stretchered off late in the half with a suspected broken ankle.
Vince Petty also struck the woodwork for the hosts during the half.

Paul Garrett fired Potton level on the hour and set up Wes Byrne's winner 10 minutes later.
Biggleswade Town took the lead at basement boys Haringey through Warren Grieve before the home side equalised.
