FVS TRI swept the board at the second Bedford Sprint Triathlon.

It was first and second overall for Steve Harrison and Boris Chambon, as well as age group golds in five age groups and silver in a further two.

Harrison returned from an Italian training camp, won as first prize in the MK Winter Duathlon Series, to open his triathlon season with a stunning victory.

The Trisports supported athlete was racing his new sponsored bike for the first time and managed to secure the win over his clubmate with a superb run leg, opening a gap of nearly a minute.

Chambon is now the leader of the series after showing an improvement of two positions and more than three minutes on the first race.

With the final event in July, Boris is now favourite to lift the title and the substantial prize haul!

Further age groups wins were also recorded for Sean Bradley (17-18) in his first ever triathlon, Sarah Bryce (45-49) and Anna Priestley (50-54).

Ian Mackerness continued to race himself fit with an eighth overall and silver in the 40-44 age group and Helen Shulver earned a silver in the 30-34 age group.

Further improvements came from Steve James, Andy Procter, Sarah Bryce and Pete Eames plus a huge nine-minute improvement by Alison Clayton-Smith!

This race also featured first time triathlons for Nick Downing, Wendy Scales, Gerry Corrance and Chris Penfold.
