Stevenage Town ran successful summer rugby camps for youngsters aged eight to 19.

Held at the rugby club's North Road, the two week-long courses were again supported by sponsors MBDA, with additional funding this year from Sportsmatch.

Youth development officer Gareth Lewis said: "The club works hard to put these initiatives in place to give children a place to play and learn during the school holidays.

"This year the children have been learning or improving on their rugby skills, improving their physical fitness, speed and agility, participating in video analysis sessions, learning about health and fitness and nutrition, as well as a wealth of other activities.

"Whatever the age or ability level, everyone learned new skills, improved as a player, and most importantly had a lot of fun! Once again, a big thank you to MBDA who continue to lend their support to the rugby club."
