Letchworth Rugby Club have stepped in to save the Herts Girls' Sevens tournament.
The club have been presented with the challenge of organising one of the region's biggest girls' rugby festivals less than three months before it is due to take place after original hosts Cheshunt and Welwyn pulled out. The Herts Girls' Sevens remains the only regional sevens tournament in East Anglia or the South Midlands.
* Letchworth are always looking for new players of all ages, and will be running the district's under-11 team at this year's Herts Youth Games. Any interested girls should call Rachel Ansbro on 07968 372995.
