RIVERAIN Ladies finished 2008 on a high by beating Watford in the first round of a new county competition called Top Ten, which is played over four rinks: singles, pairs, triples and fours.
Shirley Page won the singles event by 21-10, Ann Fuller and Angie Fabris the pairs event by 22-8, Muriel Saunders, Aileen Weaver and Shay Mumford the triple event by 14-13 and Joan Welch, Barbara Eddington, Jenny Ralph and Michelle Barlow the fours game by 20-12.
