The promoter of the event presented them with the Duckworth trophy at the end of the two-day meet.

Mid Beds swimmers also gained individual recognition for their efforts over the weekend.

Kane Farrell was fourth in the 10 years boys and Adam Ingledew was third in the 13 years. Myles Gibson and Louise King both picked up fifth in the 15 years age groups.

The swim of the meet, according to assistant coach Tricia Dear, was Paul Titley's 100m backstroke.

He achieved a national qualifying time of 1:02.62 and a return to the national stage for the first time in seven years.
