MARCUS CRAWLEY brings you all the latest news from Broadhall Way

BORO boss Graham Westley knows it is crunch time with just a third of the season left to play.

His inconsistent side sit just one place outside the play-offs ahead of Saturday's visit of second placed Morecambe.

"The pressure is on us," admitted Westley. "But there are a lot of strong characters in the dressing room to see us through."

Boro beat Aldershot 2-1 on Saturday to end a barren run of only one point out of a possible nine.

"It's a step in the right direction but we need to keep that workrate up," he added.

And Westley continued: "Morecambe are very much a footballing side.

"They played some really good stuff up there but we let them play.

"Every three points is going to need winning, starting this weekend."

It is still unclear who exactly will be at Westley's disposal on Saturday.

Saturday's matchwinner Dino Maamria is still having to rest between games as he struggles to beat his niggling knock.

Jon Nurse is missing training as he struggles with a troublesome groin injury, while Ollie Berquez hopes to return to training this week after an injection to help his abdominal strain. Danny Williams is still struggling and Barry Laker's facial injuries will take between six and 10 weeks to heal.

Striker Jefferson Louis is definitely back from suspension after missing the win over Aldershot. Justin Gregory's partner has had her baby (boy) this week and the full-back will also be back in contention.

The two men injured in the pre-Christmas defeat by Crawley Town in the FA Trophy are on the mend.

Skipper Jason Goodliffe is recovering from his cartilage operation and is said to be making 'steady' progress. Flu permitting, he may return to full training today (Thursday).

Simon Weatherstone is also on the verge of a return to full training.

The reserves won 1-0 at home to Milton Keynes Dons yesterday (Wednesday) thanks to a late goal from Louis.

* Boro will play live on Sky Sports later in the month.

Their match at Hereford United's Edgar Street has been chosen as the Monday night game on February 27 (7.45pm).

The game, a repeat of the play-off semi-finals last season, has been switched from the previous Saturday.

Westley added: "It's good for the players to showcase their talent.
