Marriotts Gym Club in Stevenage enjoyed another successful weekend of competition.

Mollie Smith continued her Scotland international career on Saturday, competing for the Scots in the Celtic Cup.

The competition was held in Lisburn, just outside Belfast, and involved teams from Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Mollie put in a strong performance to take sixth place overall in the competition in a field of 24 gymnasts. This helped the Scottish team to take the silver medal in the team competition.

Meanwhile, at Ipswich, two other of the club's gymnasts were also making their mark.

In the regional final of the British Club Grades, Talia Francis took fifth place in the grade four event (out of a total of 44 gymnasts) to pass her grade and also to go forward to the national final as reserve for the Eastern Region team.

In the grade three competition, Sophie Cripps took an excellent silver medal to cement her place in the regional team for the national final.
