STOTFOLD'S miserable season continued on Boxing Day when they were thrashed 4-0 at home by neighbours Potton and had two players sent off.
In an evenly matched opening half the first good chance fell for Ryan Nichol on 20 minutes who, after Ian Thorne's good run down the right and ball in, couldn't get enough power on his header to beat Brad Gilham.
Potton took the lead three minutes later when Paul Garrett fired the ball in under Steve Graham.
Another great chance came for Nichol on 34 minutes after some good work down the right from Ricky Case, but a good sliding challenge from Luke Donnelly prevented the equaliser.
Jamie Taylor and Nichol both shot wide and Barry Sells volleyed a good chance over before a second yellow card was shown to Danny Kennoy for what looked like a good strong tackle on 85 minutes
This allowed Paul Donnelly to put a free kick in from the left to the far post where Steve Khune's touch deflected up and over the defender on the line and into the back of the net.

Stotfold failed to clear their lines which led to the third goal on 90 minutes when Lee Allinson knocked the ball in.
Allinson's collision with Steve Graham when he collected a ball forward in stoppage time, was enough to earn the keeper his second yellow and marching orders, and Steve Khune fired Potton's fourth goal home from the penalty spot under Callum Donnelly.
