North Herts Road Runners have taken the lead after an impressive win in the opening Midweek League Division Two road race in Bishop’s Stortford.

The men’s and women’s teams both stormed home to secure first place for the club with Andrew Leach (34 minutes 12 seconds) winning the men’s race and Katie Harbon (38:56) the women’s.

Darren Matussa and Oliver Garbas were in action at a hot Riga Marathon. Matussa finished in 3hrs 6mins and Garbas 3hrs 25mins. Sue Foot ran the PJs in the Park Marathon in 4hrs 40mins.
