Stevenage ABC young guns continue to climb through the ropes with success.
Luke Gray was one of three boys entered into the Junior ABA Championships with two of the club's boxers already into the national schools' finals later this month.
The 17-year-old met Hoddesdon fighter Reece Moody in the class six under-63kgs category Home Counties final staged at Bushey Rangers Football Club on Friday.
It followed his recent defeat against current NABC champion Craig Greenwood of Liverpool.
But after four rounds of controlled boxing, he ran out a clear winner this time on a unanimous points decision.
Gray, a former double schoolboy champion and a Four Nations gold medalist, has been Home Counties champion for seven successive years.
Current NABC champ Bradley Evans will be looking to add the junior ABA under-50kgs crown.
He received a bye to the regional finals at Wisbech against the Eastern Counties.
Former novice cadet champion Lewis Skinner also got a bye at class four under-48kgs.
Terry Skipper, Tommy Grice, Barry Greenaway and debutant Jake Banton will all be in action on the Norwich Lads club show on April 1.
