Stevenage have completed the signing of Ben Sheaf on loan from Arsenal.

The midfielder – who is also capable of playing centre-back and right-back – has joined Boro on a temporary deal and will remain at the Lamex for the rest of this season.

The 19-year-old started his youth career with West Ham United before joining Arsenal in 2014, quickly rising through the ranks in North London.

Sheaf won the U19 Durban International Tournament with the Gunners in 2015, opening the scoring in the final against PSV, finishing as top scorer and player of the tournament.

The Englishman has two appearances for the first-team, making his debut earlier this season when he came on as a late substitute against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Europa League.

Boro’s latest acquisition has also represented both the England U16 and U18 sides.

Sheaf could make his debut for Darren Sarll’s Stevenage side when they travel to Chesterfield this weekend.
