The Comet Stevenage Sunday Football League round-up

Station's Herts Sunday Intermediate Cup hopes came off the rails at Harts.

Two men sent-off and eight yellow cards in total contributed towards their downfall.

Division Three side Pin Green pulled off a huge shock by dumping Premier Division side Stevenage Fencing out of the KLM Challenge Cup.

It's been a real off-season for the latter, so they took full advantage.

The impressive Richard Griffiths opened the scoring by powering home a one-on-one after a through ball from Colin Field. He added a second before Field himself scored with an audacious lob over the advancing keeper.

Paul Ryan finished the rout after calmly driving the ball home from Field's cut back late on. They meet Division One champions Mallard for a place in the final.

Bottles set up a semi-final meeting with Dun Cow after a victory over Nirankari Sports Sabha at Baldock. The first of four meetings between the heavyweights in quick succession saw them take a two-goal lead before the break thanks to Warren Grieve (two) and Jamie Drackford before Sabha grabbed a second in the second-half.

In the Premier Division, Dun Cow leapfrogged Bottles at the top after a comfortable win over Rileys thanks largely to a Mark Phillips hat-trick. Scott Mahoney and Danny McIver also netted.

Joel Mason (two) and Steve Underwood were on target for Bedwell Athletic against Royal Oak.

The big game in Division One saw Rising Sun leapfrogged by the opponents.

Lee Metselaar gave MBDA the lead after James Brewster's shot was saved, Kaan Fehmi equalised from the penalty spot after being fouled by Metselaar, who netted again in the second-half before Brewster maintained his record of scoring in every game for the club since his move from Bar Absolute.

Richard Griffin netted four times as Stevenage Colts gained only their second win of the season. Barry Hazelton (two) and Glen Cook were also in the goals to leave Sporting rooted at the bottom. Ross Gormer scored both, one a penalty.

A surprise result in Division Two saw a rejuvenated SBS make it five wins in a row to dent Breachwood Lions' title hopes.

Michael Hatch's penalty after 10 minutes and Oliver May's opportunist strike for his first goal for the club since his move from ProCladd did the job.

White Diamond Security are still fifth after an eight-goal thriller. Ricky Bridge (two), Aaron Fehmi (two) and John Abnett were on target against Triage, who scored through Neil Roskilly, Jim McGarry and Ian Agass.

There were 11 goals and James Wyatt netted four of them as King Pin United gained three points to go above their victims. Dave Holmes (two) and Danny Hacker also scored. Marquis of Lorne's goals came from Nicky Wrate (two), Ricky Wilson and Ant Alcock.

Newman climbed off the bottom at the expense of their opponents as Mark Ancora, Ben Dance and Steve Bull scored against RD Newcotech (Pete Crisp and Simon Boscoe).

Granby St George consolidated top spot in Division Three by doing the job in the first of this season's double headers.

Si Longman netted the solitary goal in the one-hour first game against North Herts Celtic, and Richard Bowskill, James Wilson and Martin Metcalf netted without reply in the second.

Broadhall Res are poised in second after Simon Flecknell's hat-trick. Carl Gunning and Alan Collins also struck. Both Fox goals came from Greg Bradbury.

Pete Summers gave White Horse the lead before Adam Priest scored from a tight angle to equalise for MBDA Res. Dave Byatt turned the game around after shooting home via a post before Jamie Robertson's superb strike with 10 minutes remaining gained Horse a point.

Another rejuvenated team are MC Racing. Tom Kelly found the net five times in total and Lee Horsley once as they were four-up at the break.

Terry Lock pulled one back for AFC Stevenage, who were the better side after the break, before Racing's two late goals meant they came up one goal short of dumping opponents to the bottom.

In the Invitation Cup, Shaun McDermott coolly slid his shot past the keeper after latching on to a loose ball to even up the one-goal deficit for Broadhall against Mallard - who used the game to hand out three debuts, one of whom was outstanding, Oli Jackson.

Third Division Hen and Chickens doubled their original two-goal advantage over Norwich Union thanks to Antony Davies (two).
