Datchworth v Stevenage Town (w/o to Stevenage Town)

Stevenage Town are one win from repeating last season's feat of reaching the Herts Presidents' Cup final.

They moved into a semi-final meeting with Old Albanian after their opponents in the last eight, Datchworth, cried off.

In other club games, Town's seconds lost narrowly to their St Albans counterparts, the third and fourth team games were cancelled and the vets were beaten 20-10 by Old Albanians.

The under-15s travelled to Great Yarmouth to take on Lowestoft and Yarmouth.

Undeterred by the lack of an under-15 side to play against, they bravely took on the might of a combined Lowestoft and Yarmouth under-15 and under-16 team.

The fixture was the climax of their annual tour and the 26-20 victory was the icing on the cake.

Will Malins broke away to score his first try of the match and his second soon followed after determined play by the forwards.

Lowestoft and Yarmouth fought back to score two tries before half time but failed to convert either.

The second half saw the home side break through to score a third try and then a fourth.

Stevenage regained their momentum with some outstanding play from the forwards resulting in Malins scoring and converting his third try of the game.

With the seconds ticking away, Kieran King made a brave run before being tackled. Dan Phoenix retrieved the ball from the resulting ruck and ran in the final try of the game.
