THE national finals beckon the basketball players from St Christopher School in Letchworth.
The under-15s were crowned district champions after their 89-34 win over the Thomas Alleyne School from Stevenage.
Their main scorers were Adam Edwards, Adam Clarke, Matt Lazarus and Guy Fiducia, and the Letchworth school's unbeaten run now stretches back three seasons.
The win has boosted the team ahead of their appearance in the national finals in Nottingham on Saturday, May 6.
Paul Kelly, head of PE at St Christopher, thanked Dave Bullock of Barclay School for refereeing and Terry Graves of Greneway School for also refereeing and organising the leagues.
