A TRIO from Chesfield Downs Golf Club won the Herts PGA Alliance Pro-Am at Berkhamsted last Wednesday.
Head professional at the Graveley club Keith Bond and his pro-am team, Mark Smith and Paul James, won the event with a seven under par total.
Bond also won the individual professionals event which was his first win for more than 15 years.
After an overnight ground frost, playing conditions could not have been any tougher.
Bond's winning score of 73 was good enough to fight off the strong field of 28 professionals from around the county.
He said: "This win has been a long time coming.
"I did have an eight-year period where I wasn't competing. But over the past three years, I have got back into playing a bit more.
"I came fourth and third in pro-ams last month and now a win. I putted great at Berkhamsted and that's key if you are going to win events.
