AC Malone emerged victorious from their massive basement battle against Stotfold Sunday in the Premier Division.

The victory moves them off the foot of the table, giving themselves a survival lifeline in the process, as they bid to fight their way out of trouble.

A hat-trick from Adam Watson, two from Simon Flecknall and a Jody Jordan goal gave them a 6-1 win at home.

The George Hitchin ensured they would be playing Premier football for another year as they hit three without reply at home to HTS Barleycorn.

Trevor Long, Negus Johnson and Graham Austin scored their goals.

In Division One, Ocean's XI sprung a surprise as they travelled to promotion candidates AEK Letchworth and came away with a 2-1 win.

Whitwell Res were comfortable 6-0 winners against relegation bound Walsworth, Lee French, Liam Kelly, Todd Sharples, Colin Hair and Tony Webb (two) scoring the goals.

It's not unusual for Dynamo Letchworth to win these days and so it proved again as a Tom Jones goal proved decisive as they beat Radcliffe Arms 1-0.

Wilbury beat SMU Res 3-1 and leapfrogged them towards the foot of the table.

In the Challenge Cup, Callum Donnelly and Jay Norris each netted for Kcinsatop as they returned victorious from the day's big match at Cannon. Jack Gregson's penalty was all Cannon had to show for their endeavours.

Angels Reply enjoyed a 3-2 win against Wanderers, Alex Byrne, Chad Ward and Ben Honera scored for Angels in the all First Division tie.

Premier Division Bar Absolute were routed as they played host to previously out-of-form Crown Stotfold.

The First Division side, whose league form has slumped, put in a majestic performance in the third round of the George John Memorial Trophy.

Matt Evans (hat-trick), Wes Byrne (hat-trick), Gareth Brown (two), Nick Lewis and Matt Franklin scored the Crown goals.

It was cup semi-final day in Division Two and Wanderers Res hosted The Park.

The Park took their place in the final as they secured a 3-1 win with strikes from Lee Gibbs (two) and Steven Monaghan.

George and Dragon Baldock versus Shillington fell foul to the weather.
