Stevenage seconds copied the exploits of their first XI as they beat Waltham Cross Rosedale by eight wickets in the Saracens Herts League Division Three.

Sohail Idress took 4-25, Martin Nevill 3-28 and Ian Brown 3-32 as the home side were dismissed for 155 in 43.1 overs.

Opener Saeed Ali dominated the Stevenage reply, hitting 17 fours and three sixes on his way to 107no.

Ali was well supported by Albert Sodhi who finished 22no as Stevenage won by eight wickets.

The thirds scraped a draw against their Sawbridgeworth counterparts in Division Nine.

Stevenage were subsequently asked to bowl first and Sawbo rattled up 200-3 in 53 overs, Rhys Stewart taking all three wickets.

A mixed batting display saw Stevenage left to play for a draw and limit Sawbo to bonus points only.

Scott Davies (batting at four) and number 11 Tom Palmer survived the last 10 overs to ensure safety.

The fourth team rattled up 267-7 in 51 overs in their 110-run win over Flamstead 2nds.

Jack Mitchell (a fine fifty) and Craig Whitworth put on 93 before Whitworth found support from the rest of the batting as scored a brilliant 93, most notably from young Ashley Daniels who scored a quickfire 46no batting at number eight.

Flamstead's openers put on fifty before a collapse to 157 all out.

Skipper Phil Ashby was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 5-33 in nine overs.
