The under-14 footballers from Samuel Whitbread Community College in Clifton have won the county cup. They played Queensbury in the final held at Kempston Rovers last Tuesday night. And the best two sides in Bedfordshire produced a close and exciting game

They played Queensbury in the final held at Kempston Rovers last Tuesday night.
And the best two sides in Bedfordshire produced a close and exciting game which was only decided by a late goal.
After a goalless first half, Samuel Whitbread came out fired up for the second period and dominated the rest of the match.
Rob Howard netted the winner with a quarter of an hour remaining.
Teacher Jimmy Hart said: "To win the county cup is a fantastic achievement and the boys deserve this success, winning 14 of 15 games this season.
