The cheeky team who play their matches at King George V Playing Fields on Old Hale Way in the town saw their previous saucy set of snaps create a global sensation after US rap superstar 50Cent liked the images on his Facebook page that has nearly 40 million followers.

The progressive club that promotes the cause of women’s rugby produced the calendar to raise funds and awareness that will allow the club to progress the development of the women’s game – as well as helping GB Wheelchair Rugby.

The team are having a launch party at the popular Victoria Pub in Ickleford Road in Hitchin on Friday, October 27 where fans will be able to meet the team, buy a calendar and join up.

Club stalwart Claire Crompton who plays inside-centre said of the new images: “We’ve seven new bottoms featured along with nine you might recognise from last year – now that’s a challenge.

“One player told us: ‘I didn’t do it last year because I didn’t have the confidence but seeing how it made everyone else feel and them showing that there is nothing to be ashamed of made me want to be involved this time around’.

“So now everyone can see that we are all ‘fab’ and have great bums!

“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at our launch and to buy our calendar – and who knows, maybe even get talked into trying out rugby of the clothed kind.”

Claire adds that this year the calendars are better quality with bigger images but still only cost £10.

The club which is 25 years old is thriving on and off the pitch as the ladies beat rivals Stockwood Park 55-0 at the weekend.

Captain – and miss April - Emma Cramphorn added: “It’s fantastic to see the ladies getting together to create some exciting rugby.

“The win gives us a great base to build on in training this week to take it to the next level against Harlow on Sunday.”
