Potton United crashed out of the FA Cup with a 6-1 defeat at Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.
The hosts, of the Ryman League Premier Division, have a number of former pros in their squad.
Heybridge took the lead after 20 minutes and soon added another.
Potton keeper Brad Gillham was sent off in the 25th minute for deliberate handball outside his area so manager Roy Bloxham took his place between the posts at the expense of James Billington.
The home side added another goal just before half time but Potton pulled a goal back early in the second half with a good strike from Mark Bryant.
The Royals were then denied a clear penalty when Paul Garrett was fouled in the area but the home side capitalised on the man advantage and scored three more goals.
Potton will visit Northampton Spencer this Saturday.
