Under-six teams from Knebworth Youth have played their first ever matches.
The five and six-year-old boys and girls took on Panshanger in two games after eight months learning the basics from their coaching team led by Steve Cook.
Knebworth Youth Cubs won the first fixture 2-1 after two goals by Adam Mason, although goalkeeper Oliver Edmonds was awarded the man of the match trophy. In the second fixture, Knebworth won by a solitary goal from the lively Archie Garrett.
A return has been scheduled back in Panshanger on the FA Cup final day of Saturday, May 13.
