Nicholls tames the Beast with a top 50 finish

Stevenage Striders were out in force at the weekend with Jonny Nicholls competing at the Baldock Beast.
The Beast is a half marathon run around the many hills and beautiful villages of Wallington and Sandon, and Jonny came 50th out of 382 runners in a time of one hour 36 minutes 41 seconds.
The weekly dose of parkruns included the course at Fairlands Valley Lakes where the Stevenage parkrun saw 261 runners take on the two-lap race.
First home for the Striders was Ben Parry in 22:03 for 30th while Ian Levy gained a parkrun PB of 23:47 for 57th.

Danik Bates’ tour of different parkrun courses around the world continued this week with a trip to Central Park.
Not the one in New York, USA but the one in Dartford, Kent.
Danik finished the two-and-a-half lap course in 24:48 to come 41st out of 196 runners.
